Bernice set up Sorted PR

after more than 20 years experience in journalism, during which time she won a number of awards for her work writing on community and consumer issues. Having been on the receiving end of what she often considered really poor PR over the years, she decided to leave the security of her job as a features editor to set up a company where her expertise and knowledge of the media could still be put to good use. So Sorted was born and since those early days Bernice has watched the company grow and flourish. Known for her plain talking and dedication, she uses her strong network of contacts in local, regional and national media to help promote her clients and her ability to think laterally to create imaginative PR opportunities. Bernice has ensured that Sorted PR stands ahead of its competitors by going that extra mile for its clients – a philosophy that has paid of dividends.

Claire has been working in public relations for more than five years, having secured her first professional role straight from university. Since joining Sorted PR in 2008 she has been involved in a diverse range of PR activity and event management, from writing for magazines and organising national competitions to encouraging media visits and managing members of the press at photo calls. Her experience working on behalf of a wide range of public and private sector clients across the UK has given Claire a real flair for writing, along with a reliable ability to orchestrate all manner of events from business briefings to region-wide press tours. However, it is her organisational skills and ability to multi-task on a truly Herculean scale which make her invaluable, not only to us but to our clients.

A PR consultant and former journalist, Emma has written for and edited tabloid and broad sheet newspapers across Britain. In a career spanning almost 20 years, she has reported on everything from industry and the economy to consumer affairs and human interest stories for a range of newspaper titles within the Trinity Mirror group. She has a broad range of experience in finding stories, writing them and editing them; proof reading copy. Since leaving the Trinity Mirror Group she has handled public relations for a wide range of companies across the UK including those in the retail, hospitality and construction industries, writing press releases, liasing with print, broadcast and on-line media and advising clients on everything from press publicity to crisis management.

Sarah, our Administration Assistant, has been with Sorted PR for two and a half years. Her expertise lies in sourcing the best platforms for our stories and chasing the journalists we've targeted. Sarah looks after the admin in the office and also is a helping hand with the planning of events and promotions.
